![]() ![]() I haven't mentioned the term yet (the players assume he's a lich but haven't gotten confirmation) but I plan on offering an explanation of the term to preempt any confusion. I'm posting this because I realized that if you do a search for archlich you get the other definition, and any DMs running ToA who describe Acererak as an archlich might have players who look up the term and think that Acererak is really a good guy and try to find out why he's being bad. It would seem that in the case of Acererak, who does have authority over other liches that follow him (he keeps their phylacteries in his many dungeons) that the former definition is intended. ![]() The seems a little random maybe because she had two brothers, making her the third child. The dictionary has this to say about the word prefix arch- (sorry about the formatting for my cut/paste job):Ī combining form that represents the outcome ofarchi- in words borrowed through Latin from Greekin the Old English period it subsequently became aproductive form added to nouns of any origin, which thus denote individuals or institutionsdirecting or having authority over others of theirclass (archbishop archdiocese archpriest). Morerecently, arch-1 has developed the senses“principal” (archenemy archrival) or “prototypical”and thus exemplary or extreme (archconservative) nouns so formed are almost always pejorative. Anonymous: Speaking of Yu Jin's character, his Kessen 2 version (though honestly, everyone is heavily exaggerated for the sake of a original story) is that of a stereotypical drag queen, which for some reason the manual said he is highly skilled at running away (compared to how Zhang He is both odd yet is considered dangerous, this is a tad unfair). Anonymous: In Kessen 2, Koei gave Lady Mi the given name Is there any special meaning to it that relates to Mishi or does it seem like it was chosen randomly It’s pretty much the same as Mi Shi. ![]() In Tomb of Annihilation, Acererak is described as an archlich, when clearly he was not non-evil in his life, being a disciple of Vecna from a young age because of the murder of his human mother (who was a Vecna cultist). In D&D archlich has up until now referred to a non-evil lich, a good or neutral archmage who becomes a lich to continue their work under the same alignment. ![]()
